A Bespoke Environmentally Friendly Home in Altrincham, Cheshire

A Bespoke Environmentally Friendly Family Home, in Altrincham Cheshire. Located in Timperley village, the site nestles behind a number of traditional semi-detached properties. The brief called for a fun, bright, contemporary family home, with good day-lighting, links to the garden, reduced bills and substantial storage. The result is a building of its time, designed by Hunter Architects & Planners to respond to the site simply and elegantly, whilst minimising the potential overlooking from neighbouring dwellings. The house, constructed to Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3, incorporates Secured by Design and Lifetime Homes accreditation, solar hot water and rainwater harvesting systems and a bespoke kitchen and staircase. Contemporary Dwelling in Denbighshire, North Wales

Contemporary Family Home in Denbighshire, North Wales.

Sitting on an prominent site on a main road into Llangollen, the site forms part of a large mill redevelopment has a number of challenges. The tight site has a storey difference in levels and fronts directly onto the River Dee which is designated as an SAC and SSSI site. CSH Level 3 New Build Home, Manchester.

The site fronts onto a main road and is an infill plot between traditional two storey dwellings. The client was very keen to construct a sustainable home and the house has been developed to achieve at least level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes as well as Lifetime Homes and Secured by Design. A contemporary approach was taken in designing the house, maximising the potential of the site whilst creating a sympathetic dwelling that opens to the substantial garden to the rear. Bespoke Holiday Home in France
Bespoke Holiday Home in France. Set on the top of a hill on the borders of the Charente and Dordogne. The plot is south facing and benefits from a 360 degree panorama view. With a 100m2 restriction on floor area, the proposals were developed to include a two storey master bedroom suite to make the most of the views. Working internationally creates a new set of problems to overcome. Language barriers, different ways of working along with different planning and building regulations all contribute to these problems. Hunter Architects is currently working on a couple of International projects and brings their experience, collaborative working skills and creative problem solving ability to add significant value to the international scene

South facing and located on the top of a hill with breathtaking views across the valley, this property has been unused for a number of years. The brief called for a refurbishment of the existing property along with a contemporary extension to the rear to create a modern family home.

Sitting on the main road between Altrincham & Manchester, the existing vacant retail unit was in a poor state of repair and formed part of a terrace of residential properties. Planning permission was achieved to convert the property into a contemporary 4 bedroom family dwelling. Contemporary extension to the rear; conversion of the basement with extended lightwell and separate access for potential future flat conversion. COMPLETED
